A series of traffic safety and speed reduction measures are being installed in Callingwood South as part of the City of Edmonton's Vision Zero Street Lab program.
Installation will begin in August and is expected to be complete by the end of September.

On select roads, speed tables help to curb excessive traffic volume and risky speeds, increasing community safety. They have been shown to reduce speeds by up to 13 km/h and cut shortcutting.

Curb extensions are just that.. they extend the curb into the roadway, forcing drivers to slow down, thus increasing visibility and reducing the crossing distance for pedestrians.

The City held public engagement in November 2025, asking residents where they felt were the biggest concerns in the neighbourhood.
Following public engagement, a What We Heard Report was published in April 2026.
